Give me some understanding.
The language processing lecture comprised two sessions per week plus
a weekly lab.
Here
is the first take-home-exam for this lecture, on the topics:
- History and issues of language processing
- Specialty of speech
- Word
The
second
take-home-exam covered the topics
- Formats of knowledge
- Production vs. comprehension
- Embodied cognition
As final project for this class, I "tried" to implement and analyze several
aspects of the PDP word production model by
Gary Dell,
as described in the Beckman Institute technical report UIUC-BI-CS-91-16,
"Structure and Content in Language Production: A Theory of Frame Constraints
in Phonological Speech Errors".
A preliminary
problem report
is available now. I will try to find the time to continue to work on this,
later.
